Dairy owners' protest

Dairy owners protested in August 2009 about proposed changes to liquor laws, which threatened to place restrictions on – or, in some cases stop – small shops selling wine and beer. In the 2000s a considerable proportion of many dairies' profits came from selling alcohol.
