Story: Trout and salmon
Brown trout can differ markedly in their colours. Those that live in estuaries, and also go out to sea (top), can look very silvery when caught – almost like a salmon. In contrast, those living in rivers (bottom) are more yellow-brown, often with red spots as well as black.
