Story: Tongans
Tongan rugby players have had a major impact on the game in New Zealand. In October 2002 the North Otago team won the third division competition when they defeated Horowhenua–Kapiti in the final at Ōamaru. Here three-year-old Ruby Smith-Fifita shows support for her father, the Tongan winger Pila Fifita, who is shown at the point of scoring the first of his three tries.
