The Liberal reforms of the 1890s attracted international interest and signified the nation’s distinctive egalitarian ethos. In this cartoon by Ashley Hunter in the New Zealand publication Graphic, the Liberal leader Richard Seddon loads some of the reforming bills into the parliamentary train.
