Wiremu Kīngi Te Rangitāke’s pā

This painting by 19th-century artist Henry James Warre depicts much of the Te Āti Awa area in north Taranaki. The scene is of Wiremu Kīngi Te Rangitāke’s at Waitara in 1861, with the tribal boundary of Mt Taranaki in the background.
