Story: Te Ao Mārama – the natural world
Tangaroa, the god of the sea, is the ancestor of Ikatere and Tūtewehiwehi. Ikatere presides over the fish of the sea, and Tūtewehiwehi over the amphibious lizards and fish of inland water.
