Story: Te aitanga pepeke – the insect world
A tuatara (a primitive reptile) eats a wētā (a grasshopper-like insect). In a Ngāti Porou tradition, the Māngārara canoe carried insects including wētā, and reptiles including tuatara, to New Zealand.
