Story: Spiders and other arachnids
Although few people ever see a katipō spider, it is widely known because it is one of the few poisonous native animals. It is the only New Zealand spider to feature on a postage stamp, as part of the 1997 Creepy Crawlies series produced by New Zealand Post.
