Dunedin spider specialists Ray and Lyn Forster examine their book, Spiders of New Zealand and their worldwide kin, at its launch in 1999. The couple devoted their working lives to the study of spiders – a field known as arachnology – in New Zealand. Between them they described and named around 800 spiders.
