Kiribati dancers
Wellington and Auckland are the strongholds of New Zealand’s small Kiribati population, and these groups often gather to practise their culture. These dancers from Wellington’s community are performing the tekatoka bau (flower garland presentation dance). Their arms and hands are decorated, and they wear costumes made from coconut fibre or pandanus leaves.
