Taupata
This shiny-leaved coprosma (Coprosma repens) forms low forest around the exposed coasts of the North Island and northern tip of the South Island. Taupata has been widely used as a hedge plant in seaside gardens, and a number of colourful and variegated forms are in cultivation.
