Toī – mountain cabbage tree

The mountain cabbage tree (Cordyline indivisa) is a spectacular plant with a huge tuft of broad, sword-shaped leaves on top of its trunk. It is found in clearings and gully locations in wet forests on the mountains, especially those on the western side of New Zealand.
