Holly-leaved tree daisy
Hakeke, or the holly-leaved tree daisy (Olearia ilicifolia), is widely distributed throughout the subalpine shrublands and forests. Its leaves are harsh to the touch and sharply toothed. It produces bunches of musky scented daisy flowers in summer. The petals are white, and the central disc flowers are yellow.
