This graph shows the most commonly fished shark, ray and chimaera species that made up total exports from New Zealand of nearly 3,000 tonnes in 2004. The combined value was over $18 million, with rig fetching the highest average price of $10.36 per kilogram. Spiny dogfish sold for just $2.75 per kilogram.
