Protest against New Zealand support for military rule in Chile

This 1974 demonstration on the steps of Parliament Buildings in Wellington protested against the New Zealand government’s decision to accept the ambassador-designate of the military government in Chile. Despite this, New Zealand was to accept hundreds of Chilean refugees from military rule.
