White Leghorn (1st of 5)

White Leghorn

Originally from Livorno (Leghorn) in Italy, White Leghorns are good white-egg layers. Adept foragers, they often find much of their food by ranging in fields and barnyards. Leghorns can fly considerable distances so standard practice was to clip the feathers of one wing.
