Pride Festival parade

Pride Festival parade

Miss Anthropy and Kiwi Muzza, participants in the 2013 Pride Festival parade, are all dressed up and ready to perform to the crowds that line Ponsonby Road in Auckland. From 1992 to 2001, the Hero Festival and parade were held in Auckland and celebrated the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities. The idea was re-launched in 2013 as the Pride Festival, which incorporated the parade, the Big Gay Out, and performances, public talks and galas.
