Gillian Whitehead, 2011

After graduating from Auckland University, Gillian Whitehead studied in Australia and England during the 1960s. She taught in both countries before retiring in 1996 to become a freelance composer. Her compositions include works for solo, chamber, choral, orchestral and operatic forces. She is pictured at work at the piano in 2011.
