Unusual archival material, 1991

Archives New Zealand is a repository for more than just paper records. These archives staff are moving some of the repository's more unusual items to their first permanent home in Wellington's Mulgrave Street in 1991. The items include the car axle that was probably used to weigh down the body of murder victim Harvey Crewe in the Waikato River in 1970, a Māori nose flute and government agency signs.
