Teams consisting of both men and women take part in the National Men's and Mixed Netball Tournament in 2012. Men's and mixed teams have been formed since the 1980s. The Silver Ferns’ preparations for their successful 2019 world cup campaign included matches against a New Zealand men’s invitational team.
