Traditional Chinese New Year meal, 2006

For New Zealanders from minority ethnic and religious groups, eating during important traditional celebrations is a way of staying in touch with their culture. Here, Connie and John Kum of Auckland eat a traditional Chinese New Year meal in January 2006. They had to make sure that they didn't break the noodles, because it would be bad luck on the first day of the new year.
