Auckland Māori Community Centre

Auckland Māori Community Centre

Young people dance the twist at an Auckland Māori Community Centre social in the 1960s. The centre was one of the first purpose-built venues in Auckland for urban Māori to gather, both for social occasions and for more formal events such as hui (meetings) and tangi (funerals).
