Cartwright and Tizard

Governor-General Dame Silvia Cartwright (left) shares a joke with Dame Catherine Tizard at Government House in 2002, after Tizard had been invested with the Order of New Zealand. Tizard was New Zealand’s first female governor-general, from 1990 to 1996.
