Grey Lynn Druids, 1909 (3rd of 3)

Grey Lynn Druids, 1909

The United Ancient Order of Druids began in New Zealand in 1876 with a lodge in Christchurch. Within 10 years there were over 50 lodges. In this image the Grey Lynn Druids are dressed in their distinctive white hoods and gowns and long grey beards, the uniform which they regularly wore on public occasions such as processions.
