Elizabeth Sinclair

Photographed in Honolulu, Hawaii, in the late 1860s, Elizabeth Sinclair previously ran a farm at Pigeon Bay on Banks Peninsula after the death of her husband in 1846. She and her family eventually migrated to Hawaii where Eliza, as she was known, bought the island of Niihau for US$10,000.
