Physiotherapy, 1920s

A returned serviceman receives physiotherapy at Trentham military camp, Wellington, in the 1920s. In the 20th century many men became physically disabled as a result of war, and this aroused public sympathy and interest. State-funded treatment and rehabilitation was offered to injured soldiers after both world wars.
