Khandallah children

Khandallah children

Children most often made friends with those living in their street and suburb. Many had a strong sense of territory; teasing or fighting with children from other suburbs was common. Neighbourhoods also distinguished children by class. These children are in the affluent Wellington suburb of Khandallah during the 1940s.
