Harry Jacob’s shop

Harry Jacob’s shop

Harry Jacob ran a tobacconist and hairdressing shop in Queen Street, Masterton, in the 1950s. His shop was a booking office for New Zealand Railways and he also took photographic films for developing. His advertisement that ‘pipe smoking means cheaper smoking’ was based on the high duty on roll-your-own cigarette papers.
