Ōtoko marae

Ōtoko marae

Ōtoko marae is on the Parapara Road (State Highway 4), 40 kilometres north-east of Whanganui. The marae, a stronghold of the Ringatū faith, belongs to the Te Awaiti hapū (sub-tribe) of Te Āti Haunui-a-Pāpārangi. The meeting house is called Tauakira.
