Sharemilker’s cottage

Sharemilker’s cottage

A sharemilker works on someone else’s dairy farm for a share of the profits, and may own part or all of the dairy herd. Often dairy farms have a modest cottage like the one circled to accommodate the sharemilker’s family. Behind it is the more substantial farmhouse.
