Burgundy truffles (1st of 2)

Burgundy truffles

Similar in appearance to Périgord truffles, burgundy truffles (Tuber uncinatum) have a lighter-brown interior and a milder flavour. They grow on the roots of hazel, oak and pine trees, and form fruiting bodies in autumn.
