Recent criticism: evaluating Goldie

Roger Blackley wrote the acclaimed 1997 critical biography of artist Charles Frederick Goldie while working as curator of historical New Zealand art at Auckland Art Gallery. He went on to teach art history at Victoria University of Wellington, where he curated exhibitions at the Adam Art Gallery and continued to write on colonial New Zealand art.
