Ōpua port
The deep-water anchorage of Ōpua in the Bay of Islands began as a port for ocean-going vessels in the 1920s. Now it is mainly used by local fishing and charter boats. Here, the car ferry that runs between Okiato and Ōpua is arriving in the late afternoon.
