Districts of Ngāti Raukawa in southern Waikato

Ngāti Raukawa’s ancestral home is in the southern Waikato and northern Taupō area. Their ancestral mountain is Maungatautari. One part of their homelands, called Wharepūhunga, stretches down from Te Awamutu to Waipapa. A second area, Te Kaokaoroa-o-Pātetere, goes north-east from northern Taupō towards the Kaimai Range. Their leading marae are marked in red.
