Story: Ngāti Porou
This whakapapa (genealogy) shows the major descent lines of Ngāti Ira. The tribe originally occupied territory south from Hikurangi and Tūpāroa, and with Ngāti Ira’s defeat Ngāti Porou came to occupy that region.
