Tamahau Mahupuku and the Hikurangi Brass Band

Tamahau Mahupuku was the host of the Māori parliament at Pāpāwai , near Greytown in the Wairarapa. He supported the brass band, which played to thousands who visited the pā, and was renowned as a generous host.
