Story: Ngāti Kahungunu
Heipipi is one of the oldest pā in Hawke’s Bay. It was probably built about 400 years ago, along with another famous pā, Ōtātara, which is near Taradale. Heipipi is located at modern-day Bay View, a seaside hill north of Napier.
