Mt Ngāuruhoe

Mt Ngāuruhoe

In this 1970s tourist poster, the perfect cone of Mt Ngāuruhoe rises out of a stark landscape. The Rangipō Desert (foreground), with its low-growing shrubs, is another distinctive feature of Tongariro National Park, which contains diverse landforms and vegetation.
