Tramping the Routeburn Track

The Routeburn Track, which passes through both Fiordland and Mt Aspiring national parks, is one of eight major tracks classified a Great Walk. These tracks, all in national parks, are particularly popular with tourists. The huts and other facilities are of a higher standard than elsewhere, and booking systems prevent overcrowding.
