Malvina Major

Soprano Malvina Major is pictured as Cio Cio San in Puccini's Madame Butterfly. She was performing the role for the fourth time, in a Wellington City Opera production of 1999.

Listen to Major sing the aria 'Signore ascolta' from Puccini's opera Turandot in a concert performance in the Christchurch Town Hall on 10 September 2005. On this occasion she was accompanied by the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra conducted by Brian Law.
