Story: Orchestras

Peter Walls conducts

Formerly Victoria University professor of music (1993–2002) and chief executive of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, in 2014 Peter Walls was an arts and music consultant and musicologist, but found time also to conduct orchestras and choral groups. He was music director of Hamilton's Opus Orchestra, and is shown rehearsing with the group. Listen to him conduct the Victoria University Orchestra in a performance of David Farquhar's piano concerto Auras with Barbara King as piano soloist.
