Story: Logging native forests
This unusual wooden postcard was produced in the 1940s by the Ellis Veneer Company, to promote the use of New Zealand timber. Logging of native forests continued steadily throughout the 1940s and 1950s, to meet the demands of the building industry’s post-war boom.
