Julia and Glen Jo

This couple arrived in Dunedin in 1995. Glen, an engineer, was on the lookout for a job, while his wife planned to run the Koreana drop-in centre. The centre, pictured here, also sold Korean food and other goods. At the time, their daughters attended a Dunedin high school. By 2003 there were about 80 Korean families in the city.
