Bread for Rosh Hashana

Bread for Rosh Hashana
Jewish families in New Zealand continue to observe the various feasts and festivals in the Jewish calendar. At Rosh Hashana (the Jewish New Year) it is customary to eat challah, a special bread whose round shape symbolises the full year to come. These loaves were specially baked for Wellington’s Dixon Street Delicatessen for observance of Rosh Hashana.
