Story: Irrigation and drainage
When wetland vegetation is being left to regenerate as a refuge for wildlife, fences should be built to keep out grazing animals. Planting native trees and shrubs will hasten the regeneration process. These are the Sinclair wetlands, on the Taieri Plain south of Dunedin.
