Memorials to Queen Victoria (3rd of 3)

Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee led to moves for prominent memorials in her honour. Large statues were put up in Auckland and Dunedin; and the queen's death in 1901 inspired Christchurch and Wellington to follow suit. Click on this map to see all the memorials to Queen Victoria in New Zealand.
