Story: Choral music and choirs

Sight-reading

Members of the 2012 New Zealand Youth Choir sight-read the Magnificat by Andrew Baldwin as a first step in rehearsing the work for performance later that year. The conductor assists them by playing the starting chord on the piano so they can pitch their notes. He then occasionally plays a note to help a section of the choir that is struggling.
