Story: Insect pests of crops, pasture and forestry
Adult mealybugs are up to 2 millimetres long, pink and egg-shaped, with no definite head or legs. Their white, waxy secretions on ryegrass plants are obvious in autumn, especially when it is dry, and heavy infestations can cause widespread death of plants in a paddock.
