Nehru Hall, Pukekohe

Nehru Hall, Pukekohe

Though subject to racial discrimination from the 1920s until the late 1950s, the Indian community at Pukekohe survived and flourished. A symbol of its solidarity was the Nehru Hall, opened in 1953, which was used for community and religious events such as weddings.
