Ashburton Hospital closure protest, 1990s

In the 1990s major health reforms by government led to the closure or downsizing of many small hospitals. These Ashburton residents are protesting about the proposed closure of their local hospital. Unlike many small-town hospitals, Ashburton Hospital remained open.
